Puffin to worry about – Story behind the artwork
Inspired by a photo I took on my visit to Skomer Island in May, 2021. It was a magical and very adorable day watching these tiny little creatures fly onto the wild and daisy filled cliffs, beaks filled with sand eels ready to feed their babies. I found it so funny watching them land and taking sometimes up to 10 minutes to find their burrows! I have named this painting ‘Puffin to worry about’ as a bit of a juxtaposition to what I experienced there. These birds where always running around manically trying to find their burrows and the process of landing, finding their burrow and taking off seemed to be a very stressful experience for them. They really are ridiculous birds but incredible hunters! I feel like my puffin painting is both striking and calming with the colour palette inspired by the rugged cliffs surrounding their home.
About the order
After placing an order for an original artwork through my web site, delivery will be subject to my sales contract for original artwork which will be provided withing a few days of the order. If this sales contract is not signed within 30 days of the placement of your order the order will lapse and the full purchase amount will be refunded to the customer within 14 days. As an alternative you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org advising that you would like to purchase one of my original artworks. In this case payment will be by bank transfer. The full amount due will be invoiced following signature of the sales contract and shipment will be made following confirmed receipt of funds.
As with all my prints, original artworks are packaged with the utmost care. This original artwork will be shipped rolled by reputable courier (such as DHL), tracked and fully insured. Please note that as with my prints, my originals should be opened and handled with the utmost care. If you are unsure how to handle an original artwork then it would be wise to allow your framer to open and handle for you.
